Fortune's Fury

A two-player platform fighter developed by student-artists

The Oracle has always taken special interest in the fate of humanity, weaving new destinies generation after generation to guide us. These destinies are the Major Arcana, and those that follow the Oracle use tarot to interpret the fate of other mortals. 

As times change, the Oracle responds, adding to the Arcana. Humanity, though, is not powerless. We will fight, and the victor will ascend, broadcast live for the world to see.  The Oracle has summoned zer champions. The winner will be added to the deck of tarot: a new fortune.

Note: To play Fortune's Fury you will need two controllers.

A New Fortune!

Welcome, everybody! The world is changing! Humanity is innovating! And you know what that means…

We’re adding a new Fortune to the Major Arcana! 

Unfortunately, only one of the candidates has shown up so far. Good on The Outlaw for being on time! We’ll just have them fight themselves. Don’t worry about how that works.

Our brilliant candidates are going to fight for honor, power, and the fate of the world! Be sure to cheer for your favorites, dear viewers – in the divine arena, hype is power!
Now! It’s time to start the games! Let’s kick off FORTUNES FURY! 

Mechanics

Although Fortune's Fury just has one character, they have: 

• 4 grounded attacks
• 5 aerial attacks
• Gravity cancels (preforming a grounded attack in the air by holding parry)
• A dash with i-frames
• A parry
• Wall jumping (recharges dashes and Gravity Cancels)
