How to play

• Press any key to punch, and press as many keys as you can as quickly as possible. 

• Press space to block, partially reducing damage from enemy strikes
  • Blocking just before being hit allows you to parry, preventing all damage and building super meter.

• When the super meter is charged, press the arrow keys to do a super attack.

Whimsyday!

There are countless places where the barriers between the other planes and the world of Verden break down, allowing the magic and spirits of these strange worlds to wash over the land. This mingling of worlds produces myriad creatures specifically adapted to these new and strange locales, bringing the diversity that makes life in Verden so vibrant, varied and strong. 

When the magic of the Umbral plane seeps into Verden, spirits of emotion lurk just out of sight, seeking out the emotion they represent, siphoning energy when they find it, or seeking to spread the emotional state when they cannot. Most Verdenians fear these spirits and their influence - who, after all, wants to find a spirit of terror under their bed? But not all such beings are unwelcome visitors. 

Today is Whimsyday, a day to celebrate and honor the most beneficent, the most generous, the most glorious of Umbral spirits. Today, we put away the responsibilities that shackle us. We put aside the trappings of adult life, respectability, propriety, and the awful, mundane banality of normalcy. All hail the Archduke of Whimsy!

This experience was designed by Nicolas Blatterman in collaboration with Lee Boundy (Keeper of Beasts), two of Guild Chronicle's star interns.  Each April, Guild Chronicles will be rolling out and spot-lighting intern-created work.  This year, while the Core Rules are being published, we are proud to present Whimsyday! a short, whimsical whimsy-experience, set in the world of Verden.
